Dr. Marnie Plant, BSc, DMD, LVIF

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Marnie attended both the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba before relocating to British Columbia. Graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1999, she moved to beautiful Kamloops that same year and has never looked back.
Marnie's goal has always been to provide the best care possible for each client, using the latest and most advanced state of the art equipment available. It is by sucessfully achieving this goal, and doing so in a warm and comfortable environment that her belief in Bringing World Class Dentistry to Kamloops came to light.
We know that all areas of medicine are continually evolving and dentistry is no different. Marnie attends numerous continuing education events every year to ensure that you, the client, receive the best treatment using the latest knowledge, techniques and materials.
In keeping herself up to date she and her team have recently attended courses in the use of dental lasers, botox cosmetic, sedation, customer service, digital imagery and sleep apnea. In 2009, after finishing 300 hours of continuing education with the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI), she received her Fellowship, a designation held by fewer than 200 dentists worldwide. LVI focuses on advanced cosmetic proceedures, to create beautiful smiles, and neuromuscular occlusion. Neuromuscular dentistry allows Marnie to help patients that are experiencing pain or jaw problems (TMD / TMJ). Neuromuscular Dentistry is on the cutting edge of whole body health and can help in areas such as migraines, chronic pain, sleep apnea, TMJ discomfort, neck and back aches.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and best friend Gary, their children Nicolette and Andrew and her cat Teacup. Steven, Anita and the gang at Bikram Yoga help keep her body fit and her mind clear. In 2009 she competed in the Western Canada Hatha Yoga Competition. Quilting, cooking and gardening keep her domestic skills tuned. Balance is created in spending time hiking or traveling with a well packed knapsack to what ever places seem unique and intriguing.
